Volunteer

Volunteers play an important role in helping MS Focus care for and support the MS community. These people generously donate their time and talent to us, extending the reach of our programs and services throughout the nation, as well as raising public awareness about MS.

If you are considering becoming a valued MS Focus volunteer, there are countless ways to help. Here are a few you might consider:

Events

Organizing and hosting an event in your area is a great way to raise funds while promoting understanding of MS in your local community.  Even if you've never organized an event before, we've made it easy with our customizable "Event in a Box" -- we provide everything you need. Or maybe you have experience with events and would like to organize something larger. No matter what the event is, and whether it is your first or fifteenth, MS Focus is here to help and guide you through the process. For more information, contact our Fund Development Department at 800-225-6495 or e-mail us at events@msfocus.org

Educational Programs

MS Focus offers various programs that are designed to educate and empower people with MS, and their families, caregivers, and healthcare providers.  As a volunteer, you might help organize a workshop or seminar that brings local MS experts together in order to speak on an informative topic. Or you may schedule an event where people with MS share their stories with others. You can also assist at an already scheduled event. For more information, contact Debra Forman, our Educational Program Coordinator, at 800-225-6495 or e-mail at debra@msfocus.org.

Support Groups

MS Focus has a nationwide network of  independent support groups that respond to the needs, problems, and concerns of people with MS, their friends, and families. In addition to providing help to each other, MS Focus support groups are often active in advocacy and fundraising. If you are interested in forming a support group in your community, or looking for one to join, the MS Focus Independent Support Group Program can help.

Please visit our Support Groups page for more information.
